In this class we will learn how to ANNOTATE and put FRAMES around our picture to make an award.
First of all, I want you to know that what we are going to do tonight has been broken up into 3 parts, in order to keep you from having to remember or write down everything at one time. You will hit your Mail button and return to the list to copy the next set of instructions. Then hit your Back button to return to I.M.
After you learn how to make an award using ANNOTATE and FRAMES you will be able to do all of this without leaving I.M.
Now if you are taking this class and do not have a website to transload your gif to, you can go ahead and follow thru the instructions to learn how. The only part that you won't be able to do is transload which is the very last thing to do!. So do not worry about that, you can learn that in another class.
The pic below is what we will use to make our award. I will be here if you should need help.
You can always hit Mail ask your question then hit your Back button to get back to Image Magick where you left off from.

Now take your gif to Image Magick:
http://magick.iacta.com/index.html
Click on Use MagickStudio.
Next Page:
Scroll Down and you will see URL and below that a box with http:// <<>----Erase
Then put your URL for your gif in that box.
Then below that click on VIEW.
Next Page:
Scroll down to see your gif, to make sure it is there.
You will notice the WIDTH =183 and the HEIGHT=207 in the box at the bottom of your TV. If it is not there RELOAD the page.
Ok -- now we want to put Best Design Award 2000 on our gif. Now scroll up until you see ANNOTATE and click on it.
Next Page:
1--scroll down to the TEXT BOX;
erase everything in that box.
Then type in:
Best
Design
Just like it is here.
I did it this way in order to keep the words off of the pic.
2--scroll down to LOCATION and GRAVITY BOX: The dimensions you enter in the location box are the distance in pixels you are moving the text from the northwest corner in the x (horizontal) and y (vertical) direction.
In simple language:
This is where we put numbers in that will place our words where we want them on our gif. Some time we do a lot of changing--LOL----But not tonight because
I have the numbers picked out that will work.
You see in the box--- +0+0
Erase that, now we want to type in +5+38
then move across and click on the NORTHWEST button.
3--Scroll down to the box with FILL above it. This is where we name the color of text we want to use on our gif. Erase the color that is in the box. Now type in GOLDENROD.
4--Scroll down, you will see a box with different Fonts: For now we will use --- ARIAL BOLD ----So click on that.
5-- Scroll down untill you see POINTSIZE: erase what is in the box and type in 20. This is where you set the size of your text. The larger you make your text, the more you will need to play around with LOCATION and GRAVITY.
6--Now we are ready to ANNOTATE:
Scroll back up just under Location and Gravity you will see a button called ANNOTATE. Click on it.
You will go to the main page where your gif is. Now scroll down to see your gif.
Now if you were doing this on your own and when you looked at the gif and the words were not where you wanted them, you just hit your Back button and the only thing you would need to change would be the Location and Gravity numbers.
Ok now hit your Mail button come back to the list and copy down the next step.
Then hit your back button until you are back at I.M. where you left off!
Now copy all information and hit your Back button to return to I.M.
7--Scroll up and click on ANNOTATE again to add Award 2000.
Scroll down to the Text Box and erase everything in the box. Now type in
Award
2000
Just like it is above.
8-- Now we need to change the Location and Gravity Box: so erase everything in the box and type in +9+50. Click on the button next to it and change it to SOUTHEAST.
9-- Leave Fill box as it is
10--Leave Font Box as it is
11--Now we need to change the POINTSIZE to 18
12-- Now scroll up and click on ANNOTATE just under Location and Gravity.
13--Look at your gif to make sure it is on there.
Then hit your Mail button come back to the list to get your last set of instructions.
Copy all info here then hit your Back button until you are back at Image Magick.
I have choosen snow and steelblue colors for the frames we are going to add around our gif.
Lets Scroll up and click on DECORATE.
NEXT PAGE:
Scroll down until you see DECORATION Geometry Box. Erase everything in it, then type in 8x8.
then scroll down to COLOR Box, change the color to SNOW
Then scroll down until you see FRAME.
FRAME should have a red light so scroll on down and click on the DECORATION Button.
This will take you to the main page to view your gif.
Now click on DECORATION again.
Erase 8x8 and type in 10x10
scroll down and erase Snow and type in Steelblue.
FRAME will still be lit up red so drop down and click on DECORATE.
Next Page:
View your gif.
Then scroll up and click on OUTPUT.
Next Page:
Scroll down and put a check by GIF
Then click on SINGLE FILE
Below click on OUTPUT
Next Page:
You will see your gif with a (0) under it
Now click on your gif.
Once you are on the page with just your gif placed on a black background you can go straight to the transloader and transload your gif.
You do not need to CCP the URL if you go straight to the Transloader. The Transloader will already have the URL
Then send it to the list so everyone can see what a wonderful job you have done!

17- Scroll up and click on ANNOTATE again to add Award 2000.
18-Scroll down to the TEXT box.
Erase whatever is there---Now type in:
Award
2000
Just like it is above.
19-Change the Location and Gravity Box. Erase everything and type in +9+50
20-Click on button--- SOUTHEAST
21-Leave Fill box as is
22-Leave Font Box as is
23-Change POINTSIZE to 18
24-Now scroll up click on ANNOTATE just under Location and Gravity.

FRAMES:
1-Lets Scroll up to Decorate click on it.
Scroll down to DECORATION Geometry Box:
Erase - then Type in 8x8
2-Scroll down to COLOR Box, type in SNOW
3-Scroll down to FRAME:
FRAME should have a red light
4-Scroll on down and click on DECORATION Button.
5-This will take you to the main page to view your gif.
6-Now click on DECORATION again
7-Erase 8x8 and type in 10x10
8-Scroll down and erase Snow and type in STEELBLUE.
9-Frame will still be lit up red
10-Drop down and click on DECORATE.
11-View your gif
12-Scroll up and click on OUTPUT
13-Scroll down and check gif
14-Click on SINGLE FILE
15-Click on OUTPUT
16-Now click on your gif with (0)
17-Then hit GO TO button and CCP the URL
18-Go straight to the transloader and transload your gif
19-Your gif should look like this:

Take the same gif and replace the words with your own using a different text size and font! Add different color and size of frames and instead of two frames add 3 frames. Send it in tomorrow! Good Luck! ((((((HUGS))))))
